These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Nour App ("Nour", "the App", "we", "us") mobile application and related services. Nour is operated by Ahmed Soliman (individual developer). By creating an account or using Nour, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Nour. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Account
- You may create an account using email/password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile, posts, and messages from our servers.
3. User-generated content
Nour allows you to create posts, send messages, share photos, videos, audio, and participate in community discussions. You agree to:
- Not post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or violates the rights of others.
- Not impersonate another person or entity.
- Not use the App to spam, phish, or distribute malware.
- Not attempt to access other users' accounts or private data.
You retain ownership of your content. By posting it, you grant Nour a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store your content as needed to operate the service. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
4. Community guidelines
Nour is an Islamic lifestyle app. We expect respectful, constructive interaction. We reserve the right to:
- Remove content that violates these Terms or community standards.
- Suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate guidelines.
- Block users who engage in abusive behavior.
5. Intellectual property
- Quran text, hadith collections, and scholarly Islamic content displayed in the App are public domain or used under applicable permissions.
- The Nour App name, logo, design, and original code are the intellectual property of Ahmed Soliman.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App.
6. Subscriptions and purchases
- Nour offers optional subscription plans (Nour Basic, Nour Pro) that provide additional AI features and ad-free experience.
- Subscriptions are processed and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store).
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your device's subscription settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies.
7. Voice and video calls
- Nour provides voice and video calling between users via third-party infrastructure (ZEGOCLOUD).
- Calls are not recorded by Nour unless you use a feature that explicitly saves audio (e.g., recitation evaluation).
- You are responsible for the content of your calls and must comply with applicable laws.
8. Advertising
Nour displays ads through Google AdMob to support the free tier. You may remove ads by subscribing. Ad personalization and tracking are subject to your consent choices (GDPR/UMP and iOS ATT).
9. Privacy
Your use of Nour is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your information.
10. Disclaimers
- Nour is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Prayer times, Qibla direction, and Islamic content are provided for informational purposes. You should verify with local authorities.
- AI features (chat, recitation evaluation) are powered by third-party models and may occasionally produce inaccurate results.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ahmed Soliman and Nour App shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Nour at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. You may stop using Nour and delete your account at any time.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the developer's jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by law (e.g., consumer protection laws in your country of residence).
